​Activities planned by the group include:

​​

■    Demonstrations by recognized artists at our meetings.

​■    Members show their art work at local banks and businesses.

​​■    GAVA members provide art exhibits to benefit other local ARTS venues.

​■    GAVA, through its Genelle Merrrick Children’s Art Award, gives annual awards to Cooke County school children whose art has been recognized as exemplary.

​■    Each year, a scholarship is awarded by GAVA to a Cooke County senior who has shown ability in the visual arts and intends to continue those studies. This applicant is selected by GAVA members.
