Elaine Wozniak

While working on her degree in elementary education, Elaine was required to take art classes which introduced her to various media and techniques.  She enjoyed seeing her work displayed in the classroom and thought maybe someday she'd find time to paint.  After teaching for almost 30 years, that day finally arrived.  Upon retiring, Elaine took art classes and chose watercolor as her favorite media, due to its transparency and unpredictability.  She experiments with adding pen and ink, colored pencils, or acrylics for special effects.

The beauty God has created all around us inspires Elaine and her favorite subjects are landscapes, seascapes, and florals.  Her desire to keep learning and try new techniques prompts her to continue taking classes.

Her husband encourages her by photographing her work and printing them as colorful unique note cards which are displayed at art shows, and a local gift store.  She also enjoys sending them to friends and relatives.

Elaine finds painting a creative outlet,
and relaxing hobby.
