Many of her artworks are nature-inspired. She does art primarily as a hobby, along with baking. Her favorite recent art mediums are clay sculpting with acrylic painting, cross-stitch, and sewing. However, she has also dabbled in and still enjoys other mediums, including wood burning, paper making, diorama-making, linoleum stamp carving, and much more. Shawna participated in the Cooke County Junior Livestock Show Family and Consumer Science Show before and through all four years of high school, notably receiving Needlework Class Champion in Textiles Division and Reserve Division Champion on a cross-stitch, Woodcraft Class Reserve Champion in Creative Arts Division and Reserve Division Champion on wood burned sconces, and many more Class Champion and Reserve Class Champion awards. Shawna continues growing, discovering, and experimenting in different art mediums and in life.
