Lee’s early education was in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Finished High School RL Paschal High Ft. Worth.
2 years in Tarrant County Jr. College. 1 year UTA Arlington Campus.
Transferred to University of North Texas Denton.
Graduated with All Levels Art Degree. Returned to UTA for teaching certification.
Lee taught for 18 Months for St. Louis High School for Armed Forces Campus. Her assignment was Camp Casey, Korea where she taught members of the Army stationed there who wanted to finish high school from an accredited school. She taught a core of English, Math and Goverment. After returning to the States Lee taught for Ft. Worth ISD. While teaching public eduction daytime she conducted decorative painting classes for the Museum of Science and History adult classes at night. She had a painted furniture studio as it was very popular at the time.
In 1980 Lee and her husband bought land in Bowie Texas to have room for their many animals. She opened a studio and painted murals for the Bowie Main Street Project and Bowie Realtors and had private are classes for children and adults. Lee organized and produced self-funding shows for areas events and judged youth shows for Bowie ISD and other Bowie events.
Lee has taught all levels art for Montague school and judged UIL competitions untlil my students started entering UIL. She was very proud of them taking top awards at all levels.
Currently, Lee is painting commissions in her studio. Organizing "The Small Town American Art Show" held during the Chicken and Bread Day street fair . She is the director and Artist Emeritus for the National Autobahn Youth Tour art show. Lee belongs to several art associations and have been supportive of them by serving in whatever office needed. Lee was presenter chairperson for CTAA for 2 years,recording secretary for WFAA for 4 years and art chairperson for BAEA 3 years.
Lee enters art shows to support the arts and have her paintings critiqued. She has been accepted in juried art shows at Breckenridge Fine Arts Center and TAG International In Ft Worth and the Demcratic Women's art show. She has received awards for 1st place and Judges awards .
Lee is a member of the Kemp Center for the Arts and was honored with a one person show in their North Gallery in 2014. The Kemp helps fulfill her motto:
