Kimberly Reiter
Kimberly Reiter is a lifelong resident of Cooke County and a self-taught artist who believes everyone can create art—you just need a passion to try.
She creates urban sketches of local eateries, tourist spots, and historic buildings using line and wash, adding small details that bring up memories and tell the story of each place. Kimberly enjoys creating a sense of nostalgia, especially for first-date locations, family gathering spots, and other meaningful places. Drawing buildings into the right perspective is what pulls each piece together for her.
Kimberly also paints landscapes and house portraits, capturing the colors, light, and character of the scenes she paints. Her work is primarily in watercolor, with touches of gouache and acrylic. She hopes her art encourages others to notice the details around them.
Kimberly aspires to one day write and illustrate a picture book. Her Mediums include: watercolor, gouache, and acrylic.
