Kelley King
Kelley King was raised in Gainesville, Texas, and discovered her passion for art during her freshman year at Callisburg High School. She continued her education at North Central Texas College and the University of North Texas, where she earned her bachelor's degree.
After more than 20 years as a kitchen and bath designer, Kelley briefly pursued a different career path before rediscovering her calling as an artist. Guided by her belief that anyone can learn to create art, she founded The Palette Connection in 2024. Through engaging classes and paint parties, Kelley encourages others to explore their creativity in a guided and enjoyable environment.
Kelley works primarily in acrylic and watercolor, and she has additional training in soft pastels, pencil, and pen and ink. While acrylic and watercolor remain her favorite mediums, flowers are her favorite subjects to paint.
As Kelley looks to the future, she plans to spend more time creating original artwork, experimenting with new mediums, and sharing her passion trough teaching. She is excited for the next chapter, where creativity, learning, and inspiring others will remain at the heart of her journey. The best adventures begin with a little imagination.
