Heather Kiesel

Heather Kiesel is a fourth-generation Juneau, Alaska wildlife photographer. Her work focuses on Southeast Alaska wildlife — coastal brown bears, humpback whales, bald eagles — many photographed via float plane access through her family-owned air charter company, Ward Air. Heather's photos tells a story of remote access, legacy, and authentic Alaska experience She believes Alaska imagery resonates strongly in Texas — offering something both aspirational and immersive.  Heather moved to Gainesville when she got out of the Army in December of 1995 and remained there teaching at GISD and Callisburg for 20 years.
