Carolyn Harper
Carolyn began painting in 2007, taking her inspiration from her mother in law, artist, Lucille Harper Baker. Married to her husband of 35 years, Wayne, and they live at Lake Kiowa.
In the winter of 2007, Carolyn took her first watercolor lesson from Hawaiian artist, Lisa Bunge sitting on the beach at the Mauna Lani Resort on the big island of Hawaii. Carolyn came back to Texas and enrolled at a Community College in Dallas, where she took watercolor and drawing classes. After that, Carolyn took classes from visiting artists at the Artist Showplace in Richardson.
Dividing their time between the Big Island and Texas, Carolyn & Wayne have met lots of great people through painting. In 2015, Carolyn had her first Gallery opening at Barela Gallery in Hawaii, with two fellow artists, Lynn Chapman and Peter Jefferson.

Carolyn's favorite subject to paint would be floras - she loves the tropical flowers of Hawaii. She loves painting landscapes outdoors, when she gets the opportunity.
