Robin Perkins has been a professional artist, teacher and counselor for over 20 years. Her art and workshops have showcased worldwide and now she is bringing her expertise to Gainesville. Robin is the Gainesville ISD Visual Arts Lead, Gainesville High School Fine Arts Chair and the GHS Visual Arts Teacher. Before Gainesville, Robin grew up in Dallas, Texas and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from the University of Texas at Arlington. She also obtained her Masters of Science in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy, specializing in chronic illness, suicide and grief and loss from the University of Phoenix in Denver, Colorado.
Robin and her family have lived in Dallas, Fort Worth, Denver, Germany, and Houston but her roots are grounded in Gainesville. Robin is the owner and operator of the Ware Ranch which was founded in 1854. Located in Woodbine, the Ware Ranch is one of the oldest, same family owned ranches in the area. Robin combines her unique life experiences as rancher, counselor and artist to breathe new life to the visual arts of Gainesville ISD and the community.
