As New Orleans native, Maggie Justice Leverett grew up immersed in the arts but also developed a passion for horses. At age 18, Maggie moved to quarter horse country in North Texas to pursue a career in horse training.

 

Five years later, Maggie unexpectedly lost her beloved sister, Lacey. Later that year, while struggling to process this loss, Maggie found painting with vivid color to be therapeutic and healing. Maggie is now an advocate for mental health and wants to normalize grief, emotional health and the importance of physical health. She’s been a full-time artist for several years with a portfolio of commissioned art and original paintings.

 

Maggie enjoys sharing her artistic talents by partnering with charities such as LTEF, RHF, WWK, and Crown 3 Equine.
