Originally from Bowie, Texas, John moved to Gainesville about 9 years. His grandfather, Donald Gene Murphy, was a custom boot maker here in Gainesville. John has always had a passion for art, drawing, painting but his greatest love is for leather work. He specializes in custom leather stamped and tooled work including belts, wallets, bible covers, dog collars and more.

 

John is overjoyed when others appreciate his art.
