Horses have been Cheryl’s passion for as long as she can remember. She has spent her life studying them, riding them, and drawing them so it is no surprise that her art continues to be centered around them.

 

Cheryl’s work depicts horses being their uniquely genuine selves, whether at work, rest, or play. The images express the particular feeling of a particular horse at a particular moment. The subtle turn of an ear, the tilt of the head, or a tell-tale look in an eye let you know exactly what a horse is feeling because they express themselves with complete honesty.

 

It is these details that make the ordinary extraordinary, therefore, these are the moments Cheryl tries to capture.
