Kay Marshall.

​​​Kay Marshall was raised in Kansas. She is a realistic portrait painter preferring oil medium. She has studied under the tutelage of Karen Patton. Occasionally, she paints in watercolor She attended North Central Texas College and received a BSA in Painting from Texas Women’s University, Denton, TX. She has entered local art shows and won awards and has had paintings on display at local banks.

Kay was first introduced to art when a traveling evangelist came to her small church. His wife illustrated pictures in pastels while hymns were being sung. She took Kay and her friend under her wing and they were hooked from then on.

Kay has always drawn. Her grandmother drew and decorated her letters with vignettes. Her mother was also an artist. Kay also makes quilts which is another artistic endeavor.

She says she creates because she has to.
She would like to work more on watercolor and explore pottery.
