​​​Jo Nash has lived in Denton, TX since l971. She was a founding member of the Denton Art League. She has studied under numerous artist. Upon retirement, Jo began painting more. She has a studio in her home and has friends come every week and paint with her.

The subject she chooses to paint depends on how she feels on that particular day. Jo paints for enjoyment. Her mother was also an artist.

Jo works in oil, acrylic, and watercolor. She likes to paint everything; however, portraits are her favorite venue.​
